Inspired by a passion for traditional milling and artisanal baking, Andrew Gilhespy founded The Fresh Flour Company to create a truly exceptional range of flours, pastas, noodles, crackers, and biscuits. Mentored by some of the UK’s most visionary artisan millers and bakers and influenced by his studies at Schumacher College, Andrew’s mission is simple: to reconnect people with the natural goodness of heritage grains.

At the heart of The Fresh Flour Company is a commitment to quality, ethics, and sustainability. They work exclusively with English heritage and ancient wheats, partnering with organic farmers—or those who avoid sprays—and paying them fairly. All grains are milled on-site in Devon, then transformed into pasta, noodles, crackers, and biscuits using only other ethically sourced, natural ingredients.

Every product is a labor of care. Pastas are made with stone-ground UK wheat and filtered Dartmoor water, mixed in pasta machines, and shaped through traditional bronze dies, giving a texture that perfectly holds sauces and enhances flavor. The result is food that is at once traditional and cutting-edge contemporary, with a remarkable taste that delights the senses.
